Taxis in Crete

Taxis are quite affordable in Crete and service short and long distances between towns and villages as well. The short fares are metered, but the long fares usually go by a fixed price.  It's advised to enquire and agree on a fare beforehand.

The colors of the taxis vary from city to city. For instance Chania taxis are navy and white, Rethymno taxis are white and Heraklion and Lassithi are grey. Most drivers speak English and vehicles are modern saloons cars.
