Car Hire in Crete

General information about renting a car in Crete!

Renting a car is the best practice if you want to get to the farther reaches of the island where public transport wouldn't allow. The majority of the road signs are in English, however most can be a bit tricky so caution is advised. Driving is on the right side of the road. Driving side in all cars is on the left.

Major international brands and local car hires are located at the airports of Chania and Heraklion with daily rates of 20 euro to 80 euro per day. Usually the rates go down the more days you're renting the car, always depending the time of the season as well. National and international driving licenses are acceptable.
