Sarakina Gorge is a gorge located in the village of Meskla in Chania. The gorge can be easily accessed driving past Agia towards Omalos and takes around 30-minute drive or 20 km from the center.
Once getting there, you can park your car in front of the Panagia Church at Meskla where a large parking area is found and then walk a few minutes up the road to the entrance of the gorge.
As you make your way down a dirt road, you will need to go either left towards a cement road and then walk down to the gorge, otherwise you can go right and enter the gorge and walk up until you find the same cement road and walk back down.
The gorge is very small and it will take you around 20 minutes to cross. Nonetheless the rock formations are highly impressive and it will definitely worth your time!
