Gefyri beach is one of the coves of Sarantaris or as they are often called Limanakia and it is located close to the harbour of Hersonissos and 26 km east of Heraklion.
Gefyri is highly recommended for all travelers that visit Hersonissos and Heraklion in general as it has beautiful fine sand and shallow turquoise waters.
There are umbrellas and sunbeds along some of the Limanakia coves, however if you would like to stay in the shade at no cost, there is natural shade from the rock along the beach.
