Beaches Plaka Beach

Located in the prefecture of Lasithi, Plaka Beach is the beautiful rocky beach of the synonymous village. Plaka Villlage is a 15 km drive from the center of Agios Nikolaos and 5 km away from the nearby popular small town of Elounda.

You are most likely to visit Plaka when you try to reach Spinalonga Island as the ferry departs from Plaka. The beach has amazing turquoise waters and is organised with sunbeds and umbrellas.

Additionally tavernas, coffee shops and mini markets are found close by should you need to buy coffee, water or have something to eat.

Spinalonga can be seen in the distance from the beach, making the view even more unique. If you are on that side of the island, this should definitely be on your must-visit list!
