Falasarna is a popular tourist destination on the far northwest side of Crete and is located 52 km from the city of Chania. Falasarna has a long sandy beach with turquoise waters hence its reputation both with the locals and visitors from abroad.
There are very few restaurants and hotels in the area that helped Falassarna kept its authenticity and natural beauty.
Further down the road about 1 km away, you can visit the ancient city of Falassarna. There are some scattered ruins, as excavations have not been completed.
