Beaches Agia Galini

Agia Galini is a harbor village located at the southern part of Crete, approximately 53 km or an one hour drive from Rethymno. The village is build on the side of the mountain with a large square right in front of the port where you can find a great variety of taverns and restaurants.

Two beautiful statues of Daedalus and Icarus are standing high on one side of the mountain facing Agia Galini, or perhaps the sky, as according to the legend this is the place where they started their journey. The spot offers great panoramic view of the port and the village.
